Has anyone noticed,
you won’t get a pension?
A promise Osborne
fails to mention.
But no need to worry
’bout the little man:
Retired, he’ll onshore
his own pension plan.
Lengthened pain, off the easy-measure,
searing hot-rods, new displeasure,
found in both hands, and stiffened wrist,
holding tight – cruel-spiked insist..
They shuffled past –
an occasion-group –
men blacked out
in their mourning suits …/
I blamed Einstein,
that raspberry-blower,
when I found out,
that for not much longer..
She would climb the wall
under lost summer-light
A crisp swallow-dive
to thrill-chills of night …/
Old friend, you are now aged fifty-two,
a wonderful place to embrace the view:
A whole (long) year ahead of me,
For just a month (in honesty)..
Each daily verse
takes an hour of my life:
Posted poems,
tax-receipted time.
This one is brief,
but like any return,
Counts out time,
in this life-burnt.
The allure of a street bench
is my latest ‘must’;
Firm, and free,
on these places I trust..
one executes a child
in a Moscow flat
one shoots at kids
in tear gas attacks
