Through the gaps
in the fence
I saw them, facing,
that moment
of not-yetness,
a man, a woman,
holding from
the illegitimate kiss,
of out-of-marriage
connections,
stalled by the fumbled
crush of sex.
As I waited,
an amateur sleuth,
they stood, embraced,
and then left,
using separate exits.
