Demi monde

I switch on my tree’s lights
when visitors arrive – once
this year so far – Leonard C
is my driver – my disability
after a few drinks kicks in –
he waits outside [between
any hour] – I lent him a car
to transport me & at night
does Gatwick [& Uckfield]
to save up for an easy life –
He drove our demi monde
to another booking [in a 4-
star hooker-hall] & waited
for her slot to be done – in
a parking bay LC hummed
his chorus – my tree is still
unlit – he does not stop by
