Funeral Bell

They shuffled past –
an occasion-group –
men blacked out
in mourning suits

Fashioned Ray Bans
reflect bright sun
They hide red-eyed
from us living ones

This – their procession
onto a wake
It’s their last time
they will undertake

a gathering with
one laid-to-sleep
This sunny day when
they darkly weep
