2211: Surely stillness counters

Surely stillness counters
physicists’ explanations
of time [surely escape’ll
come from immobility &
quiet] – a slab-sided ship

drifts imperceptibly on a
harboured tide – In dock-
land I laboured in sheds
swollen with grains – My
dusty paths [‘cross acres

of farmed interventions –
almost mountains] took
me from my thermostats
& a leaking roofline – We
dug at those hot globes –

harvests heated by leaks
& sweated under my trod
landscape ballooning as
bubbled inflammations –
no movement ’til we dug
