Bags for life from M&S
for squat beige men &
ragging women –
their
destiny in out-of-town
trips up to Maresfield
& drive-throu’ coffees
set –
A next-door thrill
in a grey Premier Inn
[as auld local lasses lie
on their backs for a fill
of strangers] –
not their
cup-of-tea –
so onward
for pickings –
trolleyed
folk seek their gains in
piles of Xmas delights –
& they accrue points
[&
a future of pleasure] as
those tired girls fumble
with fat men’s treasure
in a shabby hotel room
