Snake

Feb 23, 2018Oct 14, 2024 ~ mikebellwrites ~ Leave a comment

A blonde hair spun
from the towel

like a flying snake

that leaping wonder

but this spin in Sussex
was slow motion gathered
by the early sun in bathroom

and in this marriage
there is no certainty

who is Ishah

with whom I fall?

Eppur si muove

Mar 17, 2017Oct 14, 2024 ~ mikebellwrites ~ Leave a comment

“And yet it moves”
was his response
to the given freedom
after arguing with God

about the spin
of the ‘great light’ sun –
his telescopic facts
which the church unspun.

Still their untruths shine,
ever since Day Four:
theology blocks
heliocentric thought.
