Home Match

Pitch side, under-elevens,
Boot-thumped passes.

Parental respect,
But still low-thrown profanities:

As the other team force
too much possession,

Ours heads drop,
home strikes-again lessen.

Coach-croaked instructions,
fall on cold ears,

And the cross-wind
forces losing tears.
