Poem #2,863 | I Wonder How to Talk

I wonder how to talk
to family-under-fire –
blood clots in range
of missile drops – A
rudimentary drone’s
trajectory may find a
sweet spot to fall to –
As my tea cools & as
I poke this out they’ll
burrow – still shelters
their shared retreat in
awkward air raids – A
neighbour ignored for
years now in range – I
am feeling that tension
from my Sussex place
[with equal local traits]
wondering how to talk
